Course Description:

This 2 day course provides an overview of the DB2 environment and describes how DB2 interacts with z/OS and transactional processing systems such as CICS. It explains the relational database model, how tables are built and basic SQL access. The attendee will also have an overview of functions such as SPUFI, QMF and how the DB2 utilities operate. Elements of Performance are covered as are the security issues.
